Early Life

Richa Ghosh was born on September 28, 2003, in Siliguri, West Bengal, India. From a young age, she exhibited a passion for cricket, often practicing with boys due to the lack of girls' teams in her hometown

Family Background

Her father, Manabendra Ghosh, a former cricketer and current umpire, played a pivotal role in nurturing Richa's cricketing aspirations. Her mother, Swapna Ghosh, is a homemaker, and she has an elder sister, Shomasree Ghosh, who is pursuing a medical degree

Domestic Cricket Journey

At just 11 years old, Richa was selected for the Bengal Under-19 team. Her exceptional performances led to her debut in the Bengal senior team during the 2017-18 season. In 2018, she was honored with the Bengal Cricketer of the Year award.

International Debut

Richa made her international debut for India in a T20I match against Australia on February 12, 2020, at the age of 16. She was also part of the Indian squad for the 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup.
