Punjab police Recruitment

The Punjab Police has announced a recruitment drive for 2025, aiming to fill 1,746 Constable positions across the District Police Cadre and Armed Police Cadre. The application window opens on February 21, 2025, and closes on March 13, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized education board or university. Ex-servicemen are required to have at least a matriculation certificate. Additionally, proficiency in Punjabi is mandatory, with candidates having passed Punjabi as a subject at the matriculation level or possessing an equivalent qualification approved by the Punjab Government.

Applicants should be between 18 to 28 years of age as of January 1, 2025. Age relaxations are applicable as per government norms.

Physical Standards

Male Candidates: Minimum height of 5 feet 7 inches (170.2 cm)

Female Candidates: Minimum height of 5 feet 2 inches (157.5 cm)

Selection Process

– Stage I: Computer-Based Test (CBT) comprising two papers: Paper I: Multiple-choice questions covering Quantitative Aptitude, Mental Ability, English and Punjabi Language Skills, General Awareness, and Digital Literacy. Paper II: Qualifying paper focusing on Punjabi Language proficiency. – Stage II: Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Screening Test (PST) to assess physical fitness and measurements. – Stage III: Document Verification to confirm the authenticity of the candidate's credentials.

Application Fee

– General Category: ₹1,200 – Ex-Servicemen (Punjab State) and Lineal Descendants of ESM: ₹500 – SC/ST and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): ₹700 Candidates are required to pay the application fee online; no other modes of payment will be accepted.
